Without Burning Smoke
Approximate average burning time:15-18 mins.
In simple terms, it’s a cleansing process that soothes and clears the ear canals of excess wax and debris. The ear candle uses the smoke of a burning wick to create a vacuum that helps to extract the wax and excess debris from the ear. The candle is placed in the ear and the open flute end of the candle is then lit which results in a vacuum effect in the ear canal. When the beeswax is burning, it removes the excess ear wax and it’s all drawn out together. The warm rising air creates a vacuum (chimney effect) at the base of the candle. This helps draw out waste deposits and moisture from the ear canal. Clearing earwax build-up.
Although earwax serves a purpose in protecting the inner ear from unwanted particles, problems arise due to excess build-up. Traditional treatments such as water pumping or the insertion of sharp implements can feel and be invasive and uncomfortable. Using ear candles is a safe alternative and free from discomfort, it’s therapeutic and relaxing.
Why you might use ear candles?
For the reduction in earaches. Earaches generally occur due to inflammation within the ear canal.
Relief for swimmer’s ear. When water gets trapped in the ear canal, germs present in the liquid and can cause an infection. When ear candles are used, the warmth provided can remove the water build-up, therefore, reducing the chance for germs and bacteria to survive and reside.
